
Defying great social prejudice and political suspicions, Rajasthan girls polytechnic college, has tried to serve the lower middle class as a small progressive school. The Society, inspired by Gandhiji, aimed at greater social mixing and women's education and co-education. Regardless of caste and community, students joined in manual work such as dish washing, cleaning their own surroundings, planting trees and helping in daily chores, etc. During meals everyone sat and ate together. Children were encouraged to be co-operative and individual competition was eschewed. These still remain the tenets of different institutions of Rajasthan girls polytechnic college. Rajasthan girls polytechnic college has always focused on an all-round development of children and promoting awareness in them of their civic rights and duties. Starting in a rented building, it is now a family of ten institutions. It has stood for equity and quality in education and ensuring that all children get equal opportunities for quality education |
